SBFDannBoeing From: Joined: September 5th, 2005 Posts: 245 | Whooo! Great, now I can just upload straight to swbffiles, without having to upload to normal filefront first. Great innovation here. |
InyriForge From: (Chicago, IL) Joined: October 6th, 2004 Posts: 2159 | Hopefully this will be especially handy for people producing larger mods, typically the type that are too large for e-mail. Anything that takes out the middle-man is a wonderful thing.

No... unless your only job was uploading files to the FTP. Files still need to be added to the site by staff, just like it's always been. |

Dave-Mastor From: (Coeur 'D alene, Idaho) Joined: December 9th, 2004 Posts: 357 | Well, I guess I'm out of a job then... at least on Elderscrolls files. Do the files still show up on the main page of the FF site? |

I got a freshly made urban map to upload, gonna check out the new system, but make some pretty screenshots first....
Extra great for all those that couldn't send large attachments with their regular email service.
Keep innovating! |

They still need to be approved by staff before they go onto the site. Its just a heck of a lot easier and quicker now. |

Files still require validation, we're not quite at the PCGameMods stage yet. |

2dSpaceManHobo Joined: January 5th, 2008 Posts: 53 | It was easier for me to just send it through e-mail. But I don't mind spending an extra minute if it helps the staff out or gets my file up quicker.
Congrats on getting it working though, I know how long these things take to get just right. |

As for automated submissions, I don't think we'll ever do this as it is not only subject to a lot of abuse but also takes away the value we add in the form of reviews and some minimal standards (no we will not host your map that is just an untextured box )
Future revisions may include the ability to review past and/or pending submissions based on username or IP address, but for now, just enjoy the current feature!!! |
